I got an e-mail from Kenichi, our 3D icon master in Japan, the other day:
“I’m learning and trying a new lightings. HDRI map + system light sources. It’s great, but sometimes does not work for icon design.”
He sent along three images that I thought you’d enjoy seeing. You’ve probably never seen the Transmit truck from these angles!
Man, it really makes me want a Transmit truck toy…

12/2/2011 10:47 PMChris: as I use it a lot for design work, I can’t help but think that those look like Cinema 4D renders. I recall hearing Kenichi use it, but can’t be sure. Either way those have that look.
Nice clean modeling there too.

Just did this with pilot’s wings for an aviation concern and got great results. The thin flexible plastic took paint well.

4/26/2012 4:59 PMI really appreciate the Transmit icon, It’s such a great icon. I didn’t realise until seeing this blog post that it was designed as a 3D model, thought somebody has some amazing Illustrator skills. A Transmit truck USB drive would be cool, it could unload or load (Transmit) information into the back of the truck and stand nicely connected to my MacBook. It could even have moving wheels to drive in and out of the USB port. Ideas are flowing, couldn’t help myself.

4/29/2012 5:54 PMAs someone who races my car, I find it absolutely 100% awesome that the Transmit truck is apparently sporting Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tires. They’re the best all-around street/wet autocross and light track use tire for sports cars. Grippy as hell, but I’m not sure how they’d work on your truck!

Panic, how can i activate Transmit downloaded from your site if have an connection problems with AppStore, iClouds and Apple ID?
Is it possible to get a copy of Transmit and manually input the serial number? Where can i get it if it real?
